Guy is a General Manager at JCB, one of the world's top three manufacturers of construction equipment. He landed his first role as a JCB apprentice in 2008 and earned his stripes across various roles before progressing to Systems Manager in JCB sales in 2015. From that point forward he made it his mission to commit to ongoing learning, in order to anticipate and navigate the constant changes within the industry landscape, and guide his team more adeptly through them.
Guy was in the first cohort of 'CornerStone' - the JCB sales leadership programme co-developed by pressurepoint and winner of the Princess Royal Training Award in 2022. Through the programme Guy identified personal frictions leading to a reduction in mental toughness. The process saw Guy address core glitches in relation to intrinsic motivation, adaptability and versatility, and resulted in him achieving the biggest course gain in end of programme Mental Toughness Scores. For Guy, increasing mental toughness enabled him to operate within flow and enhance performance, resulting in his promotion to General Manager of JCB's Compact Excavators division.
