An International Ad-Tech business evolving from late stage startup through to an IPO. Rocket Fuel was a significant player in the ad tech industry during its existence.
The UK/EMEA CEO and CPO enlisted pressurepoint to stabilise their rapidly growing business as they prepared for an IPO. This international company faced frictions typical of successful growing start-ups, including silos, communication gaps, and managerial shortcomings.
As a sizeable contributing factor to revenue and credibility, the EMEA side of the business needed help to address these issues so to be ready when the whole business needed to propel from late-stage start-up to exit-stage success.
The initial quick win was to develop the senior management level as the business was close to IPO. This was then extended to include a more systemic programme branded as the "Marvels Programme” after the MD's love of superheroes.
Working closely with the HR, Commercial, Account and Product management leads to design, the programme focused on critical success capabilities such as Top team teamwork, leadership development, further people management development, honing work flow processes, collaboration and wider team teamwork, and teaching the business how to pitch for bigger bits of ‘client direct’ work.
This 3 year programme had many highlights. We contributed to ensuring that the EMEA region played its part in ensuring a successful IPO on the NASDAQ; the EMEA leadership team effectively adapting to the changes that came after the IPO and the business moving from a start up culture to a more mature business culture. The staff engagement scores were at their highest and the MD/CD was awarded the IPA Commercial Director of the year.
